BlackCallowReporting
Complete Corporate Reporting Service
Creativity meets smart thinking and seamless logistics
Who we are
We’re a service born from the marriage between two experts in the Annual Report business.
BCR is our name for our joint venture between market-leading financial printer Black&Callow, and our highly-creative design team and communication specialists headed by creative director Matthew Gowar.
We have 20 years' experience working together helping companies with their Corporate Reporting aspirations – from conception and content, through to production and delivery, printed and online.
What we do
Conveying the best message for your company.
We offer a different approach to reporting – not the typical big agency approach, with high pricing, low flexibility, outsourced production and stock designs. We provide unrivalled flexibility, control and smart thinking from a dedicated, experienced team of Corporate Reporting professionals.
We create amazing Annual Reports
- Help comply with the Code and related regulations
- We keep up to date with regulations such as the new FRC Corporate Governance Code, so that we can advise you on what you need to include and the best way to do it.
- Convey intangible aspects such as culture
- Our experience, built over many years, helps us to translate even the most intangible aspects of your business into words and graphics to help you meet ever-evolving Governance requirements.
- Help you with greater transparency in reporting
- Clear, concise reporting is vital if you want to connect with your stakeholders and build trust. We take your thoughts and words and translate them into clear, concise copy and appropriate graphical treatments.
- Steer you through the principles where there are no rules
- Using Best Practice methods refined from experience and leading reporting resources, we help you meet the Code and other requirements in an engaging, inspiring way – even where there’s little or no formal guidance.
How ESEF affects you
New legislation from the European Securities and Market Authority (ESMA) require you to create an XBRL tagged file plus an XHTML webpage version of your report.
From the 1 January 2021, you will be required to have a digital version of your annual report that can be shown as a webpage in a format that all web browsers can read, otherwise known as XHTML.
To learn more specifics about the legislation, please look at this page.
We speak the language of machines
- Consistently Holistic
- We have an experienced team of designers, typesetters, and accountants that can create a holistic annual report over both print and digital mediums, with everything you need to meet requirements set by ESMA.
- The acronym collection
- ESEF, ESMA, XBRL, IFRS, XHTML; each needs a manual to decipher their full meaning – but we’ve already done that for you. Let us sort out the bits you don’t know about so you can get on with the stuff that you do.
- Meeting the standards of XBRL tagging
- We’ll concurrently transpose any print-ready or PDF-ready version of your Report and Accounts which we create through to XHTML and XBRL compliant versions, to ensure total content consistency across the board. Our XBRL tagging team run tests which are ESMA compliant – with the latest taxonomy files in the ESEF format. Our team will oversee the process, so in short we create versions legible by machines, but we are still very human in our approach.
- For your eyes only
- We understand the need to keep secure documents in the right hands, so rest assured that with our secure online web portal your digital report will only be accessible to you until it is complete.
